Westville Correctional Facility is a state prison located in Westville, IN within LaPorte County. It houses adult male Incarcerated Individuals (18 years of age on up) who are convicted for crimes which come under Indiana state law. Incarcerated Individuals housed at WCC are sentenced for crimes which are serious in nature. Westville Correctional Facility was opened in 1979 and in 1991, a 220-bed Maximum Control Complex was added. The facility now has a capacity for more than 3,400 incarcerated individuals, and offers multiple programs focused on community service and re-entry. The prison is operated and maintained by Indiana Department of Correction (DOC)
